History
The original Fort Worth Assembly was established around 1901. Glenview Bible Chapel was established in 1968 as an outgrowth of the Fort Worth Assembly. This assembly met at 6540 Glenview Drive in North Richland Hills, Texas. The building was sold in 1985 and property purchased on N Beach St. At this time the name was changed to Assembly of Christians. This property was sold in 1996 and the assembly met in rental facilities until 2006 when the current property on Hewitt St was purchased. At that time the name was changed to NRH Bible Chapel.
Biblical Ordinances
We practice 2 ordinances:
- Water Baptism: This is one time, after someone is saved and is a believer's public profession of their faith in Jesus Christ. It is commanded by the Lord and pictures the believer's identification with Christ.
- The Lord's Supper: We observe the Lord's Supper each Sunday following the pattern in the New Testament church. It is commanded by the Lord and is for believers who have obeyed the Lord in baptism, are morally upright and sound in doctrine.
